In 2008 Council resolved to establish a new company to provide strategic guidance on the future economic growth of the City. As a result Invest Logan Pty Ltd was established for the purpose of:

(a)    Advising Council on all matters related to regional economic and tourism development; and

(b)    Advising Council on commercial/industrial development opportunities undertaken by the City.

Mission Statement

To assist Council to achieve the Logan City Direction 2026 themes including:

• Creative and innovative
• Green and sustainable
• Regionally and globally connected

by providing a direct link to the business community and working with Council to advise and recommend initiatives and actions for Council to pursue to enhance the economic and tourism development of the City.

Objectives

The key objectives of Invest Logan Pty Ltd are to:

• Provide advice to Council and recommend actions that facilitate economic and tourism growth in identified target industry sectors in Logan City.
• Provide advice to recommend actions on matters of a medium and long-term nature that will affect the future development of Logan City.
• Consult with industry, private sector companies and all levels of Government to facilitate the participation of the private sector and the Government in the sustainable economic growth of Logan City.
• Act as an ambassador for Logan City and assist in the promotion of a positive image.
• Provide relevant advice to Council on commercial / industrial development projects undertaken by the City.
