Logan is strategically located in the heart of South East Queensland between Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, and has easy access to the national highway and rail networks.
Logan City has approximately $2.5 billion in infrastructure assets including roads and traffic systems. The Logan City Council has scheduled several major road infrastructure projects during 2009-2010, including rehabilitation of existing infrastructure within the city.
The federal government will spend approximately $55+ million in 2009 onwards to upgrade rail infrastructure from Acacia Ridge to the future inland port of Bromelton. This infrastructure project will improve both passenger and freight services and provide for future growth in the region.
In addition, LOED has commissioned a Public and Flexible Transport scoping study to review current and future public transport needs related to employment for Logan City.
Current and future transport infrastructure projects outlined above will further enhance both passenger and commercial freight transportation options making Logan the ideal location!
