Logan has 36 prep schools, 50 state schools, 13 private schools, Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE College, and Griffith University's Logan campus. Logan City has established strong linkages between the education sector and the business community to ensure workforce requirements are being effectively and efficiently met at a local level.

Griffith University

The Logan campus opened in 1998 with an initial intake of 530 students. Enrolments have now grown to more than 2,500 today. Located at Meadowbrook, 25 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD, the new campus services the rapidly growing population of Logan City, and surrounding areas.

The campus has been designed with the needs of the new millennium's students as its key tenet. Acclaimed internationally for its innovative approach to flexible learning, Logan campus is serving as a working model for the incorporation of new learning initiatives across the entire university curriculum. The campus also features leading-edge technology including high speed microwave links to other Griffith campuses and has one of Australia's highest ratios of computers to students.

Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE

The MSIT has 10 campuses spread throughout south east Queensland, 3 of which are in Logan City. MSIT offers practical, flexible training from experienced industry professionals. With over 400 courses MSIT can help you start or advance your career, return to the workforce or build a pathway to university or further study.
