Creative Industries

Creative Industries is a key sector of Logan's economy and incorporates a diverse range of enterprises including, but not limited to, those industry sectors that are characterised by new forms of cultural production.

They include traditional cultural sectors like the visual and performing arts, acknowledging the role that culture has in economic development, both as an essential economic input foundation, or piece of 'enabling infrastructure', as well as an export earner in its own right.

Creative Industries Logan's creative industries also includes 'creative enterprises', which utilise human capital and technology to generate wealth in new media or multi-media in areas like film and television, broadcasting, computer animation, web design and music.  A further arm of creative industries comprises a range of other sectors like architecture and urban design, industrial design, designer fashion, writing and publishing.
