Logan Motorway

Specifically, Logan City:

  • Is located on the intersection of the main road transport arterial to the western Queensland region
  • Is located on the Pacific Highway M1 between Brisbane and the Gold Coast - two major economic hubs and expanding key consumer markets in Queensland
  • Is within 15 minutes of rail container terminal, 20 minutes from the Port of Brisbane and 25-30 minutes from Brisbane International and domestic airports
  • Has direct access to the major arterial routes servicing interstate and intrastate markets
  • 30 minutes to world renowned tourist destinations on the Gold Coast

Logan City has approximately $2.5 billion in infrastructure assets including roads and traffic systems.  The Logan City Council has scheduled several major road infrastructure projects during 2009, including rehabilitation of existing infrastructure within the city.

The federal government will spend approximately $55+ million in 2009 on upgrading rail infrastructure from Acacia Ridge to the future inland port of Bromelton. This infrastructure project will improve both passenger and freight services and provide for future growth in the region.

In addition, LOED has commissioned a Public and Flexible Transport scoping study to review current and future public transport needs related to employment for Logan City.

Current and future transport infrastructure projects outlined above will further enhance both passenger and commercial freight transportation options making Logan the ideal location!
