National Manufacturing Week 2010
Advanced manufacturers - expand your national presence. Start planning now with LOED for National Manufacturing Week in Sydney 11-14 May 2010.
The Logan Office of Economic Development (LOED) is seeking expressions of interest from Logan based manufacturers looking to expand their national markets by participating at Australia's only fully integrated annual manufacturing event - the 11th annual National Manufacturing Week (NMW) in Sydney's Homebush Park 11-14 May 2010.
LOED is coordinating a Logan trade mission and delegation which will include attendance at the National Manufacturing Week and an extensive business meeting and matching program to assist local manufacturers and attract new investment into Logan City.
LOED is arranging pre-event business network meetings with companies and delegates attending National Manufacturing Week as well as meetings with company representatives based in Sydney. In addition to attending NMW, LOED is also considering taking trade space in the AusTech area where companies can display products and services. LOED will also use this trade space to promote Logan City as a premier destination for companies looking to expand or establish operations in Southeast Queensland.
LOED officers attended the 2009 event in Melbourne as a joint program with Brisbane Marketing, Ipswich City Council, Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited (AMTIL) and Manufacture Link promoting Southeast Queensland manufacturers and SEQ as a destination for investment. LOED is in discussion with event organisers and key stakeholders in developing a program to encourage Logan manufacturers to participate with the intention of capitalising on opportunities at NMW for all involved.
Companies requiring further information or interested in participating should contact Garnet Radford, Logan Office of Economic Development, by phone on (07) 3412 4881 / 0406 996 016 or by email.
