Logan Workforce Skills Forum - 2 March 2010
The Logan Workforce Skills Forum provides business and industry representatives with a platform to detail their specific workforce needs.
The upcoming Workforce Skills Forum will focus on the WH&S Queensland Medium Sized Business Initiative.
- Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is introducing a new Medium Sized Business Initiative that involves every medium sized business across the State.
- As part of the initiative, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will visit every medium sized business in Queensland in 2010 and 2011 to check compliance.
As a response to new legislation, representatives from WH&S Queensland and Baseline Training & Consulting will be present at the forum to provide up to date information on this new initiative.

Victoria Thomson - Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
Victoria is currently Director Industry Strategy, WHSQ and is head of several teams including Small Business Program; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program; and various industry based strategy groups such as Manufacturing and Transport Purpose is to work with industries and communities to build their capacity. Veronica provides capability and willingness to manage workplace health and safety with years occupational health and safety experience in a number of inspector, policy and program roles.
Dave Whitfield - Baseline Training & Consulting
Dave, or Safety Dave as he is known, has been a safety trainer and consultant for just over 15 years. Over the last five years Dave, along with three other partners, have built their safety business, Baseline Training & Consulting, which now employs over 20 people and provides services throughout Australia.
